Our turtles

Sternotherus carinatus
Razor-backed Musk Turtle

OUR GROUP:
We have 2.1 adults WC 15 cm SCL from long time.

INFO
We house Sternotherus carinatus outdoor all the year in a large pond. They are very aggressive to each others during the mate season and also the two males fight each others. We feed the once a week with dead fish or shrimps. They are diurnal and the most active of our Kinosternidae.
Not all the year we have hatchlings because sometimes it's difficult to find eggs and sometimes we think that the female lays eggs in the water.
Incubation is at 28˚C in vermiculite 1:1 in weight with water. Babies take 80-90 days to come out from the eggs.
